Yesterday i was sitting with my eldest waiting for his mom to return with some new puzzles. he was having a hard day and we were expecting a seizure; so we were trying to find a way to calm his nerves. his favorite pastime is to do puzzles. in those moments on the couch i realized that i needed to do even better with limiting the technology for periods of time. not from my kids per se, but from myself. you see, these glowing panels of glass and metal offer us infinite amounts of information and while that’s helpful, they’re definitely a distraction from the now. today, make sure you put down the phone for a moment longer and soak in the present.
furthermore, i keep seeing messages and comments about my images and how they’re edited. to answer those with one blanket statement, i edit strictly with a raw editor. there are no composites. meaning i don’t use photoshop to make things like reflections, rainbows, deer, etc. the images you see on my feed are single images that are processed for color and contrast. that is it. there is one single photo on my entire instagram feed that is a composite made with photoshop. question is, who can spot it? if you try to find the composite, comment here. otherwise i won’t see the message. cheers!
