Nobody taught me how to cook. i know my recipes are basic, and that’s why i share them with you all...because if i can do it, anyone can do it! 🥘
recipe is in my stories right now. it’s made from scratch, almost entirely from my #freezerstash, essentially from #leftovers. and it is #delicious
before starting my #debtfreejourney
i just thought i wasn’t a good cook. so i would spend $1000 at the grocery store buying convenience food. or i’d find recipes then go and buy allllllllllll new ingredients because i had to follow it to a t because they knew what they were doing, and i did not.
over the years, my tight #grocerybudget
has not only helped us pay off debt, but it has also forced me to learn how to cook. its forced me to trust myself in the kitchen. i am by no means a “great” cook, i know this y’all! but that’s not what it’s about for me. for me it’s about #growth
and learning what i’m capable of.
to go from not knowing how to cook, to confidently sharing my #zerowaste
recipes with 11,000 people on the internet is a huge testimony of what we can learn along this journey 💪🏼
i will post the recipe on my new youtube channel as well (so it doesn’t disappear). it’s a #zerofoodwaste
recipe made from my leftovers of homemade stock, cilantro stem black beans, and slow cooker chicken (all these recipes are up on the youtube channel as well!) link in my bio.
