I said yesterday I felt as if I was ‘half arsing’ my workouts, so after I posted that I put a few things to the test so i could help everyone else with this problem and literally SMASHED the workout, it felt so good, and I had my usual Beyoncé feeling afterwards, and if you ever had club penguin as a child (I used to be so obsessed😂) I was waddling around like one of them after it, THATS WHEN YOU KNOW RIGHT??! so here’s a few tips if you feel the same:▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
⭐️ TIME YOUR SETS - I timed all my sets so that my rest time was the same between them which meant I wasn’t wallying around taking 62826 mins of rest between sets without even realising (because that’s when I get bored and my motivation walks out the room without me🙃) (so rude of it HELLO COME BACK) ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
⭐️ LESS EXERCISES BUT REALLY FOCUS ON THE ONES YOU DO - stop trying to complicate your workout by doing 10 different exercises, I find that if I stick to 5 or 6 then I really concentrate on them and do them more intensified (is that a word?!?) rather than stressing about everything I’ve got to get through! ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
⭐️ CHANGE YOUR WORKOUT - I get so used to doing the same exercises for the same body parts because it’s easy to stick to what you know but research new exercises, look on people’s instagrams for inspiration, and swap out some old moves and add in new ones, this keeps it spicy  and exciting 🌶 (pretending i can deal with spicy food when I get lemon and herb at Nando’s) ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
⭐️ RATE YOUR WORKOUTS - ok I’m saying this like I’ve always done it, but I tried it yesterday and it felt so good being able to rate it 5/5!! And in future I’m going to keep doing this, it makes you accountable, if you see a whole week of 2s or 3s you know you might have to do some of the above things to make it a fabulous 5 again🤷🏼‍♀️😆

#throwbackthursday to prep randos in March, about 3 and 4 weeks out. 
All I could think about while this lean was  flaws and things I needed to work on. I was so scared about not looking like I belonged that I truly didn't see the gravity behind what I accomplished. .
Now that I'm not as lean, I don't think I truly appreciated it as much as I should have. 
I think this brings up an important point. Your mind can play tricks on you. .
Luckily when I stepped on stage I was just happy to be there, and was so happy to meet these people and experience that mutual respect, despite me being one of the smaller dudes in the show. They all made it a great experience for me, win or lose.
