1/2. a few weeks ago someone lit the forest on fire a short walk from my home. fortunately the fire was quickly brought under control limiting the damage to a scorched patch of wood amidst the lush summer greens. it looks like its been kissed by autumn, with a hint of something darker, something destructive. it looks dead now. broken. but beneath it all life renews. forests thrive after a fire. the wood is, for now, a quiet place of eerie beauty, textures and broken things, from the scorched silver birch, to singed leaves, bark and pinecones. i find it incredibly beautiful and wanted to bring you along with a two-part post.
