Last night of my road trip reflections... i am grateful to be closing out my trip. happy to have been able to reconnect with friends and family i don’t see often, and meet amazing new friends along the way.
time alone is a needed oasis of self reflection, connecting with myself as i bridge the gap from one loved one’s home to the next. road trips to me have the same effect as meditation- releasing of resistance and returning to a relaxed state. my mind always feels like it does a complete spring cleaning when i drive.
this marks the first true cross country road trip i’ve embarked on solo. ☑️ for those of you that know my story, i drove to miami in 2010 from ohio the day after i graduated college. but i was with a friend part of the way so it doesn’t count 😝
i’ve tested some of my limits and pushed the bar higher (traveling solo allows you to realize your capacity is limitless) 💪🏻💪🏻 but perhaps what’s even more thrilling is the closing of one chapter and the beginning of the next. or maybe more fitting, the ending of one book and the start of a new one. after all this solo travel...i’m ready for future endeavors with a very special partner in crime.
to new beginnings 🥂
