A few months ago we read an article that said, “hugging your kids can make them smarter & healthier.”
something we do every day, without even knowing it 🥰 has so many positive benefits.
a scientific study shows that a 20 second nurturing hug can provide amazing benefits for your kids.
i mean, think about it,
hugging creates positive stimulation that boosts the oxytocin levels which creates that feel good hormone & enhances growth 🌱
studies also showed a simple hug can strengthen their immune systems and lower their stress hormones.
i mean— what makes you feel better on a bad day?
a nice warm hug from someone you love ♥️
hugging also helps kids learn to regulate their own emotions as well as boosts their self-esteem.
as well as helps increase trust and security between parent and child.
like we needed any other reasons to hug our little ones 🥰🤗
and, oh— be still my heart, this picture makes my own heart swell with happiness 😍😭♥️
i love hearing @the_yellowarrow
grab the kids in a big bear hug and say, “i’m making you smarter and healthier!” 🥺
but at the end of the day, a hug could really make all the difference ♥️
as parents (shoot— as humans), we all have bad days. where we are short tempered and we might lose our cool on our kids. it happens 🤷🏼♀️
well, our kids are human too, and they have the same emotions.
don’t underestimate the power of a hug! ♥️
whether your kid is still a baby,
a toddler or a big kid— hug them 🥰
hug them for the bond, hug them for the stress relief, hug them because they are your people and you love them endlessly 🥰
never underestimate the power of a hug 🤗♥️
