#senior. to be destroyed 7/18/2018💔
hello, my name is leyda 🌻
my animal id is #34351
i am a female brown dog at the #brooklyn
animal care center. the shelter thinks i am about #7years
i came in as a #stray
at risk - she is showing signs of #neurological
basic information:: leyda came to the center as a stray. the finder stated that she was on his backyard on 604 e 35th street brooklyn, ny 11203. she had no collar or leash on her. leyda is a brown and white large breed dog.
intake - leyda came to the center inside a crate. once she was taken out of it, she didn't want to walk. she entered the room with her tail #tucked
between her legs. the counselor gave her food and water and she was eating and drinking. the counselor was able to collar her and take her picture.
medical - musculoskeletal: ambulatory x 4 with mild to moderate hindlimb #ataxia; mild
low t4- r/o true hypothyroid vs sick euthyroid
dull with hindlimb ataxia, delayed cps, and head pressing - top differential would be intracranial disease (neoplasia vs less likely inflammatory/infectious encephalitis vs vascular incident) vs extra-cranial disease (systemic neoplasia)
safer summary:: leyda was brought to the room by the assessment team due to her not wanting to walk in the hallways. she was #friendly
towards the handlers with a slow approach 🙏🏻.
playgroup - leyda is #soft
around the novel male dog. she #slowly
explores the yard, checking in with the greeter when he is near. leyda displays the same soft, #social
behavior around a female dog as well.
