Finally continuing my “if i were a travel writer series” that i started several posts ago.
congrats! hooray! you’ve made it to spain! thanks to a seat malfunction, which delayed takeoff by more than an hour, you arrived later than anticipated. do not fret, your carefully planned itinerary is still intact.
spend your time in the customs’ line calling at&t to figure out why some of your texts aren’t going through and why you don’t have internet. (for those interested in international data plans, see the end of this ridiculously long post). take a taxi to your air bnb with its terrace overlooking the street and enjoy the complimentary vino blanco. get ready to see madrid.
if you recall from my last post, it’s 65 degrees and raining and you packed for much cooler than that. take a sec to check out the weather for the rest of your week and find out that it’s going to be much cooler throughout the entire trip than you had planned. so all those shorts you had packed? go ahead and throw them off your terreza.
actually, don’t do that. weather people are notoriously wrong and you actually will be wearing them at some point.
