One of the doors of the pura beji temple that leads to its courtyard. bali, indonesia.
pura beji is a beautiful hindu temple located in the sangsit village, up in the north of bali, near singaraja. it was stone carved in the xv century to honour dewi sri, the balinese hindu goddess who protects the rice fields and the plantations. i loved this temple. its flowers, vines, and balinese demons are beautifully carved and well preserved. i wish we had more time to spend around to take more photos. in any case, i'm grateful that i had the chance to visit this jewel of the traditional balinese architecture.
