During the 1940s cortebert was a rather high end name in the watch industry, manufacturing movements for others (rolex and iwc being two of their clients) as well as their own timepieces. many of cortebert's larger time-only watches were created under their tellus brand. this one, beyond the insane dial, 40mm size and flat bezel, stands out with its all-steel case. this would have been a rather high grade offering built for a specific purpose, presumably one where accuracy down to the minute was paramount. and did i mention the dial?
