Our newest crew member is being a little stinker! we had a prenatal appointment on monday and the midwife was kind enough to do a quick sonogram to check on baby boy’s position for us. unfortunately, despite my recent attempts to encourage him to turn.... he’s still breech😩 still our little taco boy folded perfectly in half, and clearly quite comfortable with his head up in my ribs.
at our appointment they tried to reassure me not to worry until closer to 36 weeks, but the famous midwife gail tully, creator of spinning babies, strongly believes otherwise. “at 26-28 weeks babies begin to move to a vertical lie. a few more will wait to go vertical until 28 weeks and fewer at 30 weeks. 28-30 weeks, the breech baby often flips head down. by 32 weeks, if baby is breech or sideways i suggest getting serious about prenatal corrective exercises and techniques.”
here we are at 33 weeks and i’d be lying if i said i’m not panicking a little😥 if anyone needs me this week, chances are you can find me with an ice pack under my ribs doing forward leaning inversions off the side of our couch and any other exercises i can conjure up on youtube.
if anyone has a successful story of a late turner, feel free to cheer me up in the comments🙏🏼
