"out the house"
here i am doing my #mondaymammy
challenge on a wednesday 🙈 but in my defence i am on holiday mode! leaving the house with kids is definitely something i never gave a second thought when pregnant with my first child but it's something that probably provokes the most thought and sometimes anxiety within me now! although we have plenty of space, living in a rural area means no footpaths and no amenities. to get anywhere you need to drive, it's a hurculean task loading three small kids into a car solo, packing everything and pre-planning where to park so you can safely unload the little ones from the car. i worried about if i could safely manage them, i feared one of them would bolt out onto the road or into a lake.i sometimes miss the freedom of being able to walk out the front door without being weighed down by bags and responsibilities. last summer was particularly hard in that sense, i did struggle! but as they get older it is starting to become easier to achieve. there is less baggage and less apprehension from me. being on holiday at the moment, we are out every day on little trips, the kids are having a ball and 2 parents vs 3 children is a fair balance. it's also made me feel a little less guilty, even with 2 of us, we are still chasing our tails with the kids! 😂 .
