I love getting older.
in just a few short days i’ll be 31 and it’s been such a beautiful metamorphosis for me to becoming the woman i am today. one of my favorite things has been finding new interests. it’s incredible that as many years of wisdom that you think you have there can still be found a new subject to become passionate or excited about just waiting to be discovered. turns out i love antiquing!!! 🤷🏻♀️ who knew!
this entire weekend was spent meandering through isles of flea markets and picking through pieces that lived a whole other life somewhere unknown. i try to imagine what stories the items hold...were they loved then discarded? or happened onto this table by some other incredible tale?
here’s my haul from today! 🔥
antique watering can, spice containers, copper measuring spoons with wooden handles, hammered copper tea kettle and lastly the wooden tabletop they’re all resting on. my favorite item is this kettle. i’ve been searching for a gregorian copper kettle for so long; always finding them overly priced or not in the best condition, but this quaint kettle is the 95th one ever made of this style and is in near perfect condition...for only $8 i had to have it!
i’m seeing many many cups of tea brewed in this beauty ☕️ happy homesteader ☺️
