So far as fashion goes, i’m a strong believer that if you like something, and if it makes you feel good [for whatever reason], you should wear it. 🙌🏻 it’s funny because a lot of people would be slightly embarrassed to admit their shoes weren’t by some local designer — instead by good, old @kmartaus.
😎 me? i was stoked, and evidently still am with regards to my find. whilst i love and value to invest in local designers and in luxurious items every now and then — sometimes all we want [i know you’re with me] is a bit of diversity in our wardrobe.. without seeing huge diversity in our bank balance. 💸💸 •
to spot these cute caramel gusset boots honestly made me so giddy! it was like spotting something with great potential and having it fit perfectly in a local op-shop. it’s exciting to source your style from a myriad of places and satisfying to be humble about it. ✌🏻 style is in the way you pair things, after all; it’s in the way you hold clothes on your shoulders and march shoes on your feet. 🙌🏻 style is not a price tag or a label — nor can it be sourced with all the money in the world. why, if it could, we’d miss some of the best pieces that go for just $25! 🤷🏽♀️ •
the truth is, i’ve worn a lot of things which haven’t satisfied other people’s tastes. or that others wouldn’t be seen dead in. with that said, i haven’t had an embarrassing fashion moment since around age 14 [let’s be real, prior were some bad times]. beyond 14, i said to myself this. i love fashion so much. i love the confidence fashion gives me so much.. that i’m going to own every piece i wear, in the knowledge that my own feel-good factor is enough to warrant looking good too. 👌🏼 i hope you’ll do the same! on that note, happy wednesday everyone! if you’ve missed my latest posts — a couple of which feature these sweet boooooties 🍑 — head on over to currentlylovingblog.com for a read! 🌻
