Movie name: trespass against us
“slow, long and tonally uneven crime drama. the prolific cast is an only bearable thing about trespass against us.”

chad cutler (#michaelfassbender) has enough of the way his father, colby (#brendangleeson) is running the family, where crime is an everyday business. #trespassagainstus

gets it wrong sometimes. it's not always smooth and good for them, there are highs and there are plenty of lows. trespass against us contains a very uneven tone, one moment it is a sublime crime drama and another minute it gets to the family drama there is no decent blending in these scenes, this is one thing i hated about the movie. i mean while it contains a good list of actors and performances, the direction looks solid too but it’s the writers who get it wrong. the film opens very meaningfully, the introduction of the characters and their relationship is remarkable however it slowly goes down a level from there, by the end, you will want to finish and put us out of our misery. fassbender as always gives a strong performance, his presence makes the movie highly watchable. gleeson is another one who makes us bear the minutes of the film, his dialogs are silly but they work for the film’s characters, the family. the main problem is that there isn't anything even approaching a sympathetic character, they are all loathsome and this it is impossible to enjoy a single moment of anything that occurs. the story never connects or grips us like it should in return leaving us with a sour taste. overall trespass against us has some charm but it's confusing and, ultimately, unsatisfying. it’s very uneventful and forgettable movie, that i believe each one involved would want to forget too. .
irregular shifts and transitions. uninspiring story.
