Villefranche-sur-mer is located in the harbour so it offers you inspiring panorama however you get there:
🚗 by car
🚂 by train
🚌 by bus
🏃 or even on foot from nice following breathtaking path!
📌here is a mini guide what i would do there:
🍤have a seafood lunch at delicious la mère germaine, a restaurant with a waterfront terrace open since 1938 sitting just in the port;
🏘take a walk along cobblestone lanes in the old town charmed by variety of the old colours and take a picture of happy people with ice-cream and at least three cats!
🍷stop for a glass at la grande cave de villefranche; 🍴save on checklist la caravelle, a restaurant where i’d love to be back in the evening because the town gets unbelievable small village atmosphere with people singing together and live music on week-ends;
🧼find local perfumery and soup-maker, terres dorees @terresdorees;
🗿hide away from the heat at museums of 16th century citadel;
🎣get impressed by fishing net just behind the first line restaurants;
🏰visit famous rue obscure, an old medieval street that remains the dungeons of the castle;
🌄discover the view from the beautiful st-michel garden;
🎬see an open air cinema hosted since mid june till mid september (check the schedule)
