Last week we had a meeting of my “existential support group”. i love those for the questions we discuss, which normally don’t find space within our busy lives. we found, that all the members are constantly feeling that they don’t work enough, don’t achieve new milestones quick enough, are not efficient enough.. its never enough in our next-day-delivery buy-in-one-click times.
we also stopped appreciating and believing in small changes. like parents who want their small children to run a marathon the next day they learned how to hold their head up. but what if we abandon the “change everything at once” approach for one that is geared toward making small changes over time?
it makes sense: small changes are less overwhelming and more realistic, and they give us a sense of accomplishment more quickly (perfect for those “i want results now” people, like myself).
regardless of the change you want to make, three things remain true:
- any major change actually requires many smaller changes;
- taking an all-or-nothing approach doesn’t work;
- small changes that we can manage and master feed our desire to succeed.
thats why i decided to create the 12 weeks challenge. if you missed the news, go one post back 🔥
i’m so excited about planning the steps to a better version of our creative selves ♥️
