"la première violence c'est le mépris."
⚠️ today i'll share something different, as photographers we have a duty, the duty to freeze time, to report facts, to tell a story, history.
i had never done streetphoto and even less in these strained conditions, but it was a very interesting and intense experience!
when it comes to my opinions, even if i am against violence, i am proud of this people who are fighting to keep their rights, our rights. france has a past of revolution, of free people, demanding its rights with violence if necessary (may 1968 is not so far), this may not be the right solution now, because it needs to wait 10 or 15 years to see the real effects of the politics policy but in the meantime people are on the street, lot of families cannot eat their fill, our old are forced to do the garbage ... and we are told to tighten our belts? to pollute less? as politicians sleep in the senate paid by our taxes, as private banks siphon the wealth we create, as lobbies control power and gorging themselves while polluting more than anyone. seriously what is this world we live in?!
i don't have a miracle solution, but i have my camera to freeze this anger, this stupor, this sadness of a "modern" world where we prefer to divide ourselves when there is enough wealth for all to live in peace. profit has taken over empathy, there is nothing human in this humanity...
