Is the weekend your weak end?
you’re not alone. when you’re working towards your goals the weekend can seem scary with a lack of routine and temptations🍻🌮.
friday i put a question box in my story to see what everyone was struggling with on the weekend. the majority of people have trouble staying healthy or on track when alcohol comes into play.
others have issues eating right, drinking enough water, prioritizing, etc. i combined the biggest offenders to weekend struggles + my tips below for yall👇🏼.
✨ change your environment and mindset from college partying on the weekends to life post college. you don’t have to party like you did at 21. socialize, enjoy yourself and be mindful.
✨ if weight loss is your goal, limit your drinking to a certain #
of drinks per week (ex: 10). divide that up into days you plan on going out and socializing so that you don’t go over the top.
✨ drink 16-32 oz of water every morning, even in the weekends. you wake up dehydrated from 8 hours without h20 so start your day off right💦.
✨ come up with healthy ways to have fun with your friends on the weekends. going to the bars is fine and all but 3 days a week might be pushing it. join a rec league (kickball & volleyball 👋🏼), go to the movies. plan a game night.
✨ plan ahead. if you’re able to, look up the menu beforehand. optimize your eating if you’re planning a big night. eat healthy foods and drink lots of water.
✨ if you have trouble remembering your fitness and health goals with all your fun weekend plans, write them in your planner for the week ahead. schedule your workouts. meal prep. write down your goals where you can see them daily.
✨ have trouble binging on tacos, donuts, etc? enjoy things in moderation. you can eat healthy 80% of your saturday then have the taco and dessert. balance is key🙌🏼.
✨ last but not least i’m going to bore you with another water tip! drink 1 glass between each alcoholic beverage. most hangovers are caused from dehydration and sugary drinks the night before🙅🏼♀️.
