Taking the wrong approaches to certain aspects of your training can really slow your progress. If you learn to master these certain things, you're putting yourself in a much better position for long term gains.

First off, use a workout routine that fits your schedule. If you are on a 6 day push/pull/legs split but can really only go to the gym 4 times a week, then you're not maximizing your chances to grow. If you can only go to the gym 4 days a week, use an upper/lower split. Make sure, along with a routine that fits your schedule, to train your body parts 2-3x/week. Whether you're training 3,4,5 or 6 days a week, you can still get a lot of volume on all body parts. Spreading out the training of your body parts to multiple times a week will force more frequency on it, and will be easier to do rather than obliterating a body part once a week. Third, train heavy, by training for both strength and hypertrophy. Many will only train light and go for the pump. These people usually don't make as much progress. Lastly, STAY CONSISTENT! the routine you're on won't bring great results if you are not consistent with it. You can't expect to see great results if you are constantly skipping workouts multiple times a week. Stay on point, be as consistent as possible, and the results will come!

I fall into the trap of comparing myself to other people here on IG but I always take a moment to remind myself that I am SO freakin’ loved by my God. There’s no photo I could post that could compare to the love that God has for YOU and me 🙏🏼 No matter how many likes, shares, bookmarks, comments, story reposts... At the end of the day, honestly, all I care about is if I did it with the right heart.

Through all the crappy things I’ve experienced and witnessed myself and to others, I still find myself falling to my knees worshipping God. He’s done way too much good in my life for me to focus on the negative.

When squatting she favored a wide stance in order to achieve depth without pain and struggled to maintain an upright torso. Coach @paheringer conducted an assessment of the internal and external rotation of her hip joints, checked out her anatomy - the lateral bony part of the femur, and had her do some hip and ankle mobility. He determined that most likely the size and shape of her femurs and pelvis require a higher than average toe angle in her squat, so simply by adjusting the position of her feet and the angle of her toes, she was able to squat well below parallel in a great position with knees tracking over the toes and an upright torso. PAIN FREE! This will be a major turning point for her and we can’t wait to see the benefits!

I remember I couldn’t get the front squats correctly, now I can do good amout of weight with proper form. I would like to do compete in both CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting.

Last day before i am officially wiser in terms of a quantifiable value system.

Mini bands shoulders:
Here are several exercises I was doing to warm up my shoulders and back with just the mini band.  I’ve since added in more specifically for rotator cuff and serratus muscles.  I’ll post those next week. .
I can’t stress the importance of properly warming up the specific muscle group you are going to train.  That way, you’ll reduce the chance of strain, tearing and make sure to activate the right ones when you get into heavier weight lifting. .

1️⃣ rhomboid activators (focus, pulling shoulder blades together)
2️⃣ lat pull aparts
3️⃣ diagonal external rotator 
4️⃣ arm raises (focus on keeping hands as wide as elbows)
5️⃣ anterior delt lifts
▶️▶️ I repeat these warm ups 2-3 times through with 10-12 reps each.

Nothing comes easy, especially in fitness. Everything has a process and everything is earned. Whether it’s a new skill, a nice body, etc. it’s like math, you can’t just start doing calculus without knowing the basic fundamentals like addition and subtraction. Fitness is the same way. You have to break down complex movements, look at things beyond face value and learn how each separate and fundamental movement is done. Learn which muscles you’re using and how to strengthen them, which exercises will help you gain mobility, and which movements will help you progress into harder advanced movements. And this takes time. I get messages asking me why people haven’t lost weight even though they’ve been working out for a week or two. Well you have to give it time. A week or 2 is not enough! You can’t expect immediate results because your body is still learning how to handle the stress you are giving it. Trust the process and take things step by step. Don’t rush it!

Nothing comes easy, especially in fitness. everything has a process and everything is earned. whether it’s a new skill, a nice body, etc. it’s like math, you can’t just start doing calculus without knowing the basic fundamentals like addition and subtraction. fitness is the same way. you have to break down complex movements, look at things beyond face value and learn how each separate and fundamental movement is done. learn which muscles you’re using and how to strengthen them, which exercises will help you gain mobility, and which movements will help you progress into harder advanced movements. and this takes time. i get messages asking me why people haven’t lost weight even though they’ve been working out for a week or two. well you have to give it time. a week or 2 is not enough! you can’t expect immediate results because your body is still learning how to handle the stress you are giving it. trust the process and take things step by step. don’t rush it!

When people ask me what I do outside of work, I often get blank stares or I’m asked how much I can bench press... But a few times a year I get to hang out with my amazing teammates from all across the country who understand not only what I do, but also make many of the same sacrifices to try and excel at this crazy sport a lot of us just fell into. Couldn’t have wished for a better weekend (well maybe a few more made lifts on Sunday) and I can’t wait for a few weeks to do it all again in Salt Lake. Mucho props to the @eastcoastgoldwl crew for always making this possible: @nicc__marie, @phillysab, @brenden_mcdaniel, @tottentraining, and @waltneubauer 💙💛

💪Strong Is Beautiful 💪 .Have you ever felt strong,? Powerful?  Unstoppable?  It can be an amazing feeling and an upward trend for women lately. .For so many years women’s fitness has been centered around being thin.  Women everywhere have tracked countless hours on doing aerobics, running and cardio machines, just trying to burn a massive amount of calories to be thin.  The vicious cycle that has turned obsessive and frustrating for most women! .There has been a huge shift from women doing cardio to transitioning to the weight room where they have seen huge gains physically and mentally. .Women are debunking myths about strength training and proving to society that “STRONG IS BEAUTIFUL!” .
Strength training boots energy levels and improves your mood.  It elevates your levels of endorphins (natural opiates produced by the brain), which lift energy levels and improves mood. .What are you doing to become stronger? Need help? I have many programs that can get you started. .I believe 💯 to never skip a Monday workout.
