First of all i just wanna start off by saying this is not a goodbye speech. i wanted to say thank you to all my followers, new and old. thank you for all your support and love for however long you’ve been here, it’s a privilege to share my love for the starks with so many of you. i’ve ran this account since 2014, since then i’ve been lucky enough to be a fan of the biggest cultural phenomenon that will probably ever exist. i’ve been introduced to the most amazing book series, an incredible cast and crew, many of whom i’ll follow forever. i’ve also made so many friends along the way, and i’m so thankful for all of them and you know who you are.
to inês @gameofthrnes, my oldest got friend and the first person who i ever talked to on here way back all those years ago, i love you to the moon and back. how special to have experienced this with you♥️
to the starks: thank you for solidifying my love for this got/asoiaf universe the way you have. the starks have been my everything since the beginning. every victory and every defeat, i’ve experienced it with them. all the pain and sadness and longing just to get back to each other, and the sacrifices made to do so, have pulled on my heartstrings in a way you would think fiction didn’t have the power to do. so to see the “last of the starks” reach their happy endings, i call it justice, it makes me proud for each of them and all the s**t they’ve been through. i’ve cried many happy tears since that final montage.
of course, i love many other characters and houses, but house stark just always resonated with me the most and from the very beginning. i just can’t express how much i love them.
but none of this would be possible without the man himself, grrm. a legend. an artist. the creator of this amazing world, thank you for everything. your talents have changed the lives of many.
because i’m keeping this positive, today we’re not mentioning the clowns that kinda forgot.
but to everyone else, thank you for everything. i miss got already😭😭 it feels like a part of myself that i never gave permission to let go of. it’s corny & it’s cliche, but game of thrones really did change my life. thank you xx
