wednesday, december 12, 2018 *god dwells in our praise* *psalms 22:3*
*but you are holy, enthroned in the praises of israel.* we are still on the subject of thanksgiving and its benefits as we come to the end of the year. one of the benefits of thanksgiving is that it ensures that we abide in the presence of god. the scripture above says god dwells in the praises of his saints, that means when we praise god and thank him, we create an atmosphere that is conducive to god's presence. so the more we praise, the more god abides with us. the more we worship, the more of god's presence we attract.
on the other hand however, if we complain and give in to doubt, we give god a quit notice from our lives. from scripture, we understand that god hates murmuring. it was a huge part of the reason why the israelites who died in the wilderness, didn't make it to the promised land.
so as this year ends, when things are well, praise and thank god. when things seem not to be going so well, praise and thank him. your praises will invite god on the scene and he will turn that situation around for you. *prayer:*
*lord jesus, i thank you for this year. i thank you for the things that went well and also for the things that didn't go exactly the way i expected. i thank you because i know you have a way of making all things work to my favor. i give you praise and i know it will all turn out right in jesus name. amen!*
