This quote/artwork of mine has been going viral lately so I'm gonna repost it now! If you spot it on the web please help me out by asking people to tag/credit me 😁 all my work is original, including the words and thoughts! This thought came out of 4 months of travelling and learning to slow down and find balance (and in turn somehow creating some of the best work I've ever made and going further in my career than ever!?)

After a few weeks at home I'm off travelling again! Starting with Los Angeles for #AdobeMAX , which is basically the design event of the year and literally all my fav internet illustrators are here 😭😍 Not everyone is able to come to LA for this event so I'm going to be sharing as much as possible via my stories this week so you can learn and be part of it too! Thanks @adobecreativecloud for flying me out once again and supporting us artists βœˆοΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ #AdobeInsiders #AdobePartner #Sp

People always ask me what program I use to create and are surprised to hear that I pretty much exclusively use Adobe Illustrator! Illustrator can be intimidating for a lot of creative people to start out on, so I hope this basic tutorial will help people feel ready to give it a go. 😁 This is the technique I personally use to color my artworks and create my signature color swatches (special new colors you save and reuse in your artwork). I hope that at least one person out there is able to give Illustrator a serious go after watching this! β™₯️ @adobecreativecloud #AdobePartner #Illustrator #AdobeInsiders #Sp

It's International Day of the Girl πŸ€— Here are some of my favourite past works celebrating gals. Take the time today to recognise your internalised misogyny- we ALL have it. I'd love to hear your own examples of everyday sexism- have you ever said you're 'not like other girls' or that female friends are 'too much drama' or 'too bitchy' ? Do you ever see 'feminine' traits as being weaker or uncool? Sometimes the perpetrators of sexism and misogyny are wom*n themselves and it's important to work on that πŸ€— we're all conditioned in a patriarchal society to think certain things- but so long as you catch yourself and correct your thinking, you're doing ok β™₯️

Not everyone in the world has the privilege of being able to vote. I've spent a lot of time in the U.S this year (back again this weekend) and it's still baffling to me that people don't register to vote- in my own country Australia it's compulsory. There's good and bad to that too. Regardless of where you are from though- if you consider yourself 'not political' or don't vote at all- think about the huge amount of privilege you hold in being able to step away from the politics which affect people's lives every day, and the luxury of being able to vote at all. I understand people's arguments that voting doesn't make a difference/is rigged anyway- but on the off chance that voting for change COULD make a difference, I think we should take it.

Today's Studio: A secret lighthouse I found 10min from the CBD in Sydney πŸ€— Local organisations are working hard to protect the wildlife in this special spot, so if you do want to visit just be respectful. Instructions on how to visit are in the caption of my latest IGTV episode- you can also watch other episodes from the pretty spots I find to draw from around the world!

Daily reminder ✨ how can we do our best if we're spreading ourselves thin over a million tasks- which in turn distract us from considering what is really important? We can't do it all, but we can do a FEW things WELL. Buy my new luxxe print via martinamartian.com (link in bio)

Part 3. It's okay to have nothing in your calendar. It's okay to not have a plan. How can we get to experience the wonderfully unexpected if we've scheduled every hour of our lives? How can we get to just 'be' for a bit? Leave a little room for life to just, happen. Maybe we're afraid of what will happen when we let go- let me know your thoughts ✨

My brand new stickers are up on Snapchat yay! Fun facts, I drew the sketches for these while sitting on the grass watching Highland Games in rural Scotland. I then digitally drew these on my laptop while sitting in a chocolate shop in the seaside town of Oban, before hopping on a boat to see some seals 🐚

Big day, I have just released my first enamel pins ever ah! There is room for all of us- if not, let's MAKE room. I repeat this phrase a lot to myself. It's up to you what it means- I love hearing people's interpretations. Wear this proudly to let people know you want to make space for them. Wear it to remind yourself there is room for you. Wear it to remind people in positions of power or influence that they should make space for us all.

I'm back in Australia! Last year Snapchat asked me to reflect Australian culture, and I decided to represent the parts of Australia that I actually love- our weird slang, meat pies and Bunnings sausage sizzles, and above all recognising the traditional custodians of this land. For my international followers- the First Nations people of Australia are the OLDEST CULTURE IN THE WORLD, and yet education about them is very limited. I encourage you to read and learn about Australia's awful, bloody history, which I refuse to celebrate on Australia Day and why I refused to represent typical, nationalistic 'Australia Day' motifs in this sticker series. 🐨

It's not often that I create artworks without words in them, but I think this one speaks for itself. The world is very beautiful, can you recognise any of these places? 🏞️β™₯️ I'm at the end of my 4 month+ solo trip around the world- (EDIT: I am still travelling! Asia next month!). I went to Europe, the UK, the US and Guatemala- and I'm just as much enamoured of the world as ever. Man has made some incredible structures but nothing a city holds could ever be as impressive or create the same feeling for me as towering mountains and the deep greens of the earth.
