Surrender can be both daunting and liberating. But it’s in our ability to let go where freedom awaits. 😌
Take this posture for example. There’s only so much you can push into it. But to really advance this #tittibhasana pose the final element is to relax into it, and usually, that’s the most challenging part. 👣
.
Hope everyone is having a GREAT week💋

New FULL BODY foam roller class now up on my Playbook! Whether you’re training for a race, looking to relax, or just haven’t figured out how to use that foam roller you bought at the store last year (I’ve been there🙋🏻‍♀️); this is a challenging yet accessible class that will get into all areas, from the bottom of your feet to the top of your neck.👣💆🏻‍♀️
⠀
And while it’s not the same as getting a full body massage 😴it IS self care and bodywork in a way that benefits you in order to reduce tension, improve recovery, and relax your muscles (I truly feel like I can breathe better after doing the upper and mid back section!) 🥳
⠀
If you haven’t already signed up for my Playbook you can choose a monthly membership or the full year. New workouts released every week. Try it now by following the link in my bio!💁🏼‍♀️😍

To Hold On ✊🏻or To Let Go✋🏻
⠀
You can see from these two similar pictures, the small difference of the intensity in my hands and feet grasping tightly compared to being more soft and relaxed. ⠀
Is one better or more ‘correct’ than the other? Not necessarily. While holding on and letting go can both be appropriate in different situations, to me the most important thing, (and my yoga practice has brought this to light) is to maintain the awareness of which you are choosing. Holding onto something tightly can be a good thing, as long as you aware of the action and why you are doing it. ⠀
And similarly, letting go and relaxing can be challenging yet appropriate for that circumstance, but again there has to be an awareness behind it. ⠀
So which do I like better.... 🤔BOTH! But that’s only because I’m letting go of expectations and holding onto my freedom of expression.☺️

Flashback to one of my favorite videos. I finished work a little early on an a unseasonably warm November day. I had a few minutes before I had to be home and thought this stretch on the fence post would look kind of funny...
⠀
I think it’s always the things that are more spontaneous that come out the best anyhow, right?🤷‍♀️
⠀
Who remembers my fence post video from a few years ago? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Since my post the other day using my @ab_eze I had a few people ask how it would work if they used it in a doorway set up. So I figured I would do a little demo here! 🤗
⠀
It works really well in a nice solid sturdy doorway and you can see how fast and easy it is to set up. I love it for stretching strengthening and overall chilling out 😎
⠀
Hope everyone’s having a great week, and let me know if you guys have any other questions about my fun new apparatus 🥳

I love to handstand and split (no surprise at this point!) but using the doorway really helps me go deeper. Song Push Off by @thepalmsmusic 🎶🎶💕

Being a good mom isn’t about being perfect. In fact I don’t know how to totally sum it up in a one-liner. 🤔...I am really just trying to help grow little humans into bigger humans.🧚🏻‍♀️ To let them know that they are loved; they are useful little beings full of potential and opportunity. To help them make smart choices so they know they can blossom into productive members of society that have the ability to actually make a positive difference in the world. Because being a mom is about seeing and nurturing a potential that we all have within us in order to create and absorb all the goodness that life has to offer. ⠀
Happy Mother’s Day to everyone! Because thanks to a mom out there, we are all who we are today and better for it. 💘

Sometimes the greatest gift is not getting what we want. ☘️
⠀
The most profound moments of growth I have experienced are the occasions when I am short on time or limited on resources, and am forced to figure out another way. So really, not getting what you thought you wanted, is sometimes the best way to realize that what you wanted all along isn’t really what you needed after all.🧚🏻‍♀️
.
Happy Weekend!! 💋💋

The transformation is almost complete 😻 #transformationtuesday #catyoga ⠀
Here are a few fun facts about cats that maybe you did (or didn’t know) 👉🏻😽
⠀
Cats can see at only one-sixth the light level required for human vision; giving them excellent night vision 👻
⠀
Their sense of smell is about 14 times as strong as humans’. 😼
⠀
Cats have 32 muscles in each of their outer ears, allowing them to rotate 180 degrees!🙀
⠀
The ridges on cats’ noses are unique for each, kind of like a human fingerprint. ✋🏻
⠀
The technical term for a cat’s hairball is a “bezoar.”🤮😅
⠀
Stubbs was a cat who was the mayor of Talkeetna, Alaska from July 1997 until his death in 2017.🙋🏻‍♀️🖌
⠀
Having a cat is good for your health! Scientists say that having a cat helps to relieve stress and anxiety, which is known to help protect against heart disease by lowering blood pressure and reducing the heart rate.❤️🧡💛💚💙
⠀
So now you know why I kinda wish I was a cat 😻! I could go on and on about how awesome cats are! If anyone has anything to add about the awesomeness of our feline friends, please do😽😽
